Matte Black Waterfall Basin Mixer | Bathroom Tap

A matte black bathroom basin mixer with a waterfall flow. Because the water falls as a thin sheet, it splashes less as it meets the basin and the stream stays visible. The matte black finish does not reflect light the way polished chrome does, so water spots and fingerprints show up far less. Matte black gives high contrast against a white basin and light tiles, and stays in the same tonal family as anthracite, wood and concrete-look surfaces. If the same bathroom also has a matte black towel ring, toilet roll holder and shower set, the fittings read as one matched suite — the detail most often missed when replacing a single piece. Wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. On a matte finish, avoid abrasive sponges, limescale removers and acidic cleaners: they polish the matte texture and leave a patchy look.
