The anthracite Luna concealed basin mixer is a wall-mounted tap whose brass body is built into the wall, leaving only a slim cover plate, a single lever and a 20 cm square spout on show. Its multi-layer matt anthracite finish keeps the basin area calm and uncluttered.

The single lever mixes hot and cold water with one hand, the ceramic cartridge gives a smooth action, and the aerator in the spout produces a soft, splash-free stream that helps save water.

Plan the plumbing before buying the anthracite Luna concealed basin mixer: the body is connected to PPR hot and cold supply pipes and set into the wall by a plumber before tiling. The wall must be at least 55 mm thick, and a distance of 18–20 cm between spout and basin is recommended. As the spout is 200 mm long, work out how far the vessel basin sits from the wall accordingly. PPR pipes and fittings are not included. Since the supply lines have to be prepared inside the wall, this mixer is usually chosen for new or renovated bathrooms.

Leave the protective cover on the anthracite Luna concealed basin mixer throughout installation so plaster, cement and building debris cannot damage the body. Once it is fitted, turn the water on and carry out a leak test, and only start tiling when you are sure the connections are sound. The box contains the concealed body with cover plate (control panel), the in-wall mounting box, the brass outlet pipe (spout) with aerator and the mounting hardware. In the long run only the ceramic cartridge behind the lever may need replacing, and it can be changed without disturbing the body in the wall.
